Tribute To Mr. Bunny
Oh Hoppy Day!
"BUNNY YEAH!!!"
That's the saying we had for our dear Mr. Bunny.
Years ago, we had an amazingly loving and wonderfully wise wabbit we "hoppily" named Mr. Bunny. When you were sad, he would lick the tears away much like a dog. Also much like a dog, he would come to you when you called him.
What's Hoppinning?
Two of Mr. Bunny's favorite toys were his little stuffed dog and his hula hoop.
One day, we gave him his very own little stuffy dog. Mr. Bunny showed us just how much he loved it - by promptly licking it affectionately! This he did often, so often in fact that we named the toy Mr. Licky-licky. We would play with Mr. Bunny for hours, tossing Mr. Licky-licky and watching him hop after it...then lick it and snuggle up to it.
The hula hoop started as just a joke - but then Mr. Bunny surprised us! We'd joked that Mr. Bunny was smart enough that we could teach him to jump through hoops. Sure enough, he did! Not by us really working with him to do so, either - he just simply hopped through it one day all on his own! If that wasn't enough, he also decided to play with the over-sized hula hoop, picking it up in his mouth and tossing it a short distance. He became our Circus Bunny!
Mr. Bunny Brought Everyone Hoppiness!
Lots of friends of ours, including those who said they didn't like rabbits, all loved Mr. Bunny and they would come over, sometimes in groups, sometimes alone, and everyone enjoyed yelling out with a,"Bunny, yeah!!"
Eventually, our sweet, dear Mr. Bunny passed on, but we all still have the cherished memories of a wonderful and amazing friend.
Don't Worry, Be Hoppy!
If you would like to experience the bunny love for yourself, I suggest you try having a pet rabbit! They don't make much noise, in fact, they have a sort of silent wisdom to their muted musings, which can be quite pleasant. On the other hand, they can show their fun side, too! Our Mr. Bunny used to do his trademarked "Bunny Hop" when he was feeling good (we had to adopt it for ourselves)! It works!! :D
So, one great thing to know is, if you have a cotton-tailed friend hopping around your ankles, you'll never have to feel alone.
Hoppy trails!
